Let's say you are a teenager, travelling down the way toward the classroom, and you want to listen to NPR just for fun. Of all of the wholesale electronics you've put in your collection and fallen for, your MP3 music player is your best-loved. You have it in your backpack, but does it have radio reception? Most likely, if you have a cutting edge MP3 music player with a flash drive, you can rest assured. The slimmer MP3 devices with flash drives are the likeliest to have radio reception; very little in the make-up of the flash drive causes problems with radio waves, so FM radios are common in these products. So as you, our hypothetical student, stroll down the street, you find the channel you like.
Well, that was entertaining, but now you get a craving to get a new tune. You know you can get it online, but you are miles from your laptop and you want that song immediately! What about wireless? Can you catch a network from your MP3 music player and get what you want? The technology is now becoming widely accessible and will satisfy your wishes. The kinks have not yet been fully worked out. iPod Touch, for example, not long ago had some connection problems that ended up in some repairs and replacements. But completely reliable Wi-Fi will be here soon.
Now you find yourself at the study hall. You switch off the music. But you'd like to get an audio recording of the speaker for later review. Can you? The MP3 player you purchased from a first-rate electronics wholesaler was equipped with voice recording capability. It is certainly adequate to capture a lecture or your comments. Just don't expect orchestra hall quality! The quality of voice recordings on MP3 players that have this feature is quite good, but not yet perfected.
Class done, you decide you want to contact a friend, but you can't recall his number. Wait a minute; you synced your email addresses to your MP3 player just awhile ago. Personal information management is another MP3 player feature. The number will be easy to find. You make the call. You still have a separate mobile phone (which you also got from an electronics wholesaler at a reasonable price!); but you hope that someday soon, all of this technology will be combined into one.
Chatting with your friend at a restaurant, you want to show photos of your latest outdoor adventure. You know what? Most current MP3 players will easily permit you to show your photos and do so in color. And if you've done your comparison shopping for electronic wholesale products, you've figured out that you can get video functions as well.
Hard to imagine not long ago, the MP3 player has morphed into a multifaceted jack-of-all-trades. The wholesale electronic MP3 player rocks
I have great interest in wholesale china goods such as wholesale electronics.
As a famous wholesaler, I have engaged in this line for more than 10 years.
I am glad to share experiences of [http://www.dhgate.com/wholesale+electronics.html]china wholesale with you.

An important feature of the MP4 player is the storage capacity. There are two types of MP4 player in the market now, the hard disc storage and the solid state memory type. Each have their pros and cons, so it important that you understand the differences before making your purchase. Both types of MP4 player provide the same level of performance with regards to other general features. Both will store photographs, videos and music files which can either be downloaded from the internet or recorded directly. Both devices will have colour screens and both work best when the stored information is kept uncluttered. This means having clear files and storing only the required information on the device, keeping it reserved on the home computer until required. However, there are also some subtle differences that may affect your choice.
The battery life is also a consideration when choosing MP4 player. The average battery time for the MP4 player is averages 6 hours in total. The hard disc device battery can take up to double the time to recharge than the solid state version, which does not seem compatible with its minimal increased battery life. MP3 Players For Dummies – A Simple Buyer’s Guide For The Not So Technologically Savvy
In a world filled with MP3 Players, Portable Media Players and music downloads, there are a few of us who are still somewhat confused about how to buy a MP 3 player. With so much information out there it’s hard to get past all of the fancy, high tech jargon to make a decision on which one is best for your needs and by the end of your search, you’re even more confused than before you started. Well here’s a “straight to the point, quick and dirty” lesson on how to buy an MP3 player.
MP3 PLAYER VS PORTABLE MEDIA PLAYER
A MP3 Player is a portable digital device that plays and stores music and audio books. A Portable Media Player (PMP) plays and stores audio and video. The name MP3 Player is used as a generic term to describe all portable devices. Although PMPs can play audio not all MP3 Players can play video. For example, the iPod Shuffle, Creative Labs Zen Stone and SanDisk Sansa Clip are MP3 Players and do not have the capability to play video.
BRANDS
For those of you who were not aware, Apple Ipod is not the only brand of MP3 Players on the market. There are several other brands of MP3 Players for you to choose depending on your needs and most importantly, your budget. They are the Archos, Coby, Cowon, Creative Labs, iRiver, Philips, Samsung, SanDisk, Sony, Toshiba and Zune (Microsoft).
TYPE
MP3 Players are classified according to how they store digital data. The most common are HARD DRIVE BASED PLAYERS and FLASH MEMORY BASED PLAYERS. The Hard Drive Based MP3 Players have the highest capacity and are larger and heavier than the Flash Memory Based MP3 Players. An example of a HARD DRIVE BASED PLAYER would be the iPod Classic 80 GB, iPod Classic 120 GB, iPod Classic 160 GB, Zune 120 GB, the Archos 80 GB 605 Wi-Fi PMP, Archos 160 GB 605 Wi-Fi PMP and the Creative Labs Zen Vision:M 30 GB MP3 and Video Player. A drawback to the HARD DRIVE BASED PLAYERS is that it has moving parts that can easily malfunction if it is exposed to high temperatures or dropped.
The Flash Memory Based MP3 Players are light weight and smaller than the Hard Drive Based MP3 Players. This type of MP3 Player has no moving parts and will have longer audio playback with a storage capacity ranging from 120 to 8000 songs. An example of Flash Memory Based MP3 Players is the Apple iPod Touch, Apple iPod Nano or Creative Labs Zen PMP. A drawback of the Flash Memory Based MP3 Player is that it is more expensive than the Hard Drive Based Players even if the storage capacity is less.
CHOOSING A MP3 PLAYER OR PMP
Now that you’re armed with the basic information you have to determine which type is best for you. Your personal needs and budget will help you to narrow down your choice.
Decide the type. – Hard Drive vs Flash Memory. When deciding the type keep in mind what you’re using it for. For example, if you’re going to use it while jogging, then the hard drive based player will not be a good choice because of the size, weight and high chance it will malfunction if it’s dropped.
Decide the storage capacity. – When deciding the storage capacity also keep in mind whether you also want to play video and audio (PMP) or just audio (MP3 Player). MP3 Players can come in various storage capacities which can vary by brand. The iRiver brands features a 20 GB MP3 Player. The Archos has a PMP that has 60 GB capacity. Whether you’re looking for 1 GB to 160 GB there is a brand and model to suit your needs.
Decide the features. – Determining features is based on personal preference. Some MP3 Players/PMP have several features that may include voice recorders, calendar syncing, FM radio, wireless capability, photo storage or recording TV like a DVR player. For these particular features you may want to consider the Archos brand of PMPs. Another popular feature is color. If you’re into pink then you can get a pink mp3 player. Your options are endless it just depends on your personal needs and how much you’re willing to spend.
Decide how much you’re willing to spend. - The more features you desire the more you’ll spend on a MP3 Player. If you’re just looking to play music and you’re not concerned about the fancy features then you can find a MP3 player for under $50. For example, the SanDisk Sansa m250 2GB can be purchased for less that $35. If you’re looking for at least 4GB then iPod Nano or Creative Labs Zen Mozaic would be a good choice. Or, if price isn’t a concern and you want the “Cadillac” MP3 Player with all the bells and whistles then consider the Archos 705 Wi-Fi PMP 160 GB.
After considering the type, capacity, features and your budget check out each of the above mentioned brands to compare features and price. Also, if you’re on a tight budget and still want fun features consider a refurbished MP3 Player. Now you’re informed and ready to buy and enjoy your new MP3 Player! Good Luck!

Inventor of the MP3 Player
Everyone is interested in knowing more about how MP3 players work, but fewer people think to ask about who invented the MP3 player. Fraunhofer-Gesellshaft invented the basic MP3 process in 1987. The project has been invented by Bernhard Grill, Karl-Heinz Brandenburg, Ernest Eberlrin, Thomas Sporer and Bernd kurten. Many companies who manufacture audio MP3 devices with different designs and names and features began to use the MP3 players.
The MP3 player was mass produced for the first time in 1997 with the name of the MPMan player along with Kramers input. Diamond Multimedia immediately jumped onboard the new technology and put out the immensely popular Rio PMP300 player. Way back in 1988, Compaq came out with their brand of digital MP3, hard-drive -based, player. IPods from the Apple Computer Company are one of the most popular MP3 players today.
When the MP3 technology first hit the shelves, they became very popular and soon became the main source of music. MP3 players can also hold thousands of songs and can run as long as their batteries will allow them. They are typically small enough to be held in a pocket and can be worn in public in order to have your music available anytime you'd like. This stereo system is actually run off of batteries unlike most of the others.
You may be wondering what is an MP3 player exactly and how does it work? To hold compression music that have no loss of sound and quality when playing, such device is known as MP3 which stands for MPEG Audio Layer III. MP3 is a segment of the association called MPEG, the acronym for the Motion Pictures Expert Group. These use compression in order to display video and transmit audio.
Apple is responsible for creating the most popular brand of MP3 players known as iPods or iPhones. WWW connectivity and downloadable software are features of this product. The most popular music players today are MP3 players.

What is MP3 Technology?
The ubiquitous cheap MP3 player has become such an integral part of our daily lives that we hardly notice it anymore! A few years ago, you would see someone with a pair of headphones, bopping to some stream of music flowing into his or her ear and we half-smiled with a mixture of amusement, pity and ridicule. Now, as we sit in our plane seat with our Bose noise canceling headphones hooked to our iPOD, we wonder how the person sitting next to us could ever choose to fly without an MP3 player. Read a book instead?? Why??
So what is this MP3 technology that has the world of consumer personal electronics abuz? If you stick in a music CD into the drive in your computer and look at its contents, you will find that each music track is stored as a separate digital file, typically in the .WAV format. Each file is about 50 to 60 megabytes in size. So a typical CD has between 12 and 14 tracks or digital files. Each file is that long because the song or track is recorded in multiple channels. It turns out that most music tracks are recorded in greater definition that can really be perceived by the human ear. The human ear has its limitations when it comes to hearing music and other sounds. For example, if two tones of equal intensity but different pitch are played simultaneously, the human hear will hear the lower of the two notes and almost completely ignore the high note. Scientists have been able to create mathematical models that completely describe auditory perception of the normal human ear.
MP3 encoders today take a digital file and process the signal using the auditory models created a couple of decades ago. These encoders strip the extraneous audio signals, leaving in place only those portions of the signal that can be heard by the human ear. The resulting MP3 track is much smaller in size - typically about one-tenth the size of the original digital file. This compression is achieved will no significant loss of sound quality. With this compression process, a CD that normally held 12 to 14 tracks, can now hold nearly 150 tracks in the MP3 format!
